Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997)
Mortal Kombat II was one of Ray’s first on screen appearances. Stunt doubling for Rayden, played by James Remar he also played one of the reptiles and Baraka’s. Ray managed to demonstrate some of the skills he’d learnt from his years of Martial Arts and Gymnastic training.
Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace (1999)
Taking on the role of the evil Sith Lord Darth Maul, Ray was finally able to demonstrate his Martial Art and Acrobatic skills, in front of a global audience. Utilising his WuShu training and knowledge of many weapons including the cudgel, Ray was able to ransfer his fighting the Jedi (Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor) with his double ended lightsaber. Performing all of the stunts himself, Ray rose to the challenge, breathing life into the unique Star Wars character. Darth Maul has become a firm favourite with fans of the George Lucas Films.
Sleepy Hollow (1999)
In Tim Burton’s dark adaptation ‘Sleepy Hollow’ starring Johnny Depp, Ray played the role of the fighting headless horseman. In the thrilling action scenes, Ray weileded an axe, and a sword against Johnny Depp and Casper Van Dien.
In the 20th Centry Fox hit film X-Men directed by Bryan Singer, Ray plays an evil mutant called Toad, one of Magneto’s henchmen, based on the Marvel Comics. It was a great opportunity for Ray to show off more of his physical and acting ability. Working with an all star cast.
Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever (2002)
Starring alongside Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu, Ray’s next on screen role saw him playing a deadly government agent named AJ Ross.
Pot Heads The Movie (2005)
Directed by Michael Anton, Ray plays Mr. D.
What We Do Is Secret (2005)
A bio-pic of punk legend Darby Crash and his band, the Germs. Ray plays Brendan Mullen who owned a club called the Masque in Hollywood back in the 80′s.
Slayer – May (2006)
Directed by Kevin Van Hook, Ray plays the acrobatic vampire twins in this action packed movie, set to be released May 2006.
Fan Boys (2006)
Directed by Kyle Newman. This ia a cameo role, for Ray. He gets to have a bit of fun playing the THX Guard Leader.
The Legend of Bruce Lee (2007)
Directed by Li Wen Qi, a 40 episode TV mini series special for CCTV. Ray plays the role of Chuck Norris. Bruce Lee is played by Kwok Kwan Chan (Shaolin Soccer & Kung Fu Hustle). Other actors joining the cast are Michael Jai White, Mark Dacascos and Gary Daniels.
Directed by Hiro Koda, David Wald and Mitch Gould. In this story Ray play’s Max who is a mercenary, who’s only interest is making money no matter what damage he does and who he hurts. Along the way Max teams up with an assassin Ryu and Cain to save the world.
